TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK - (2,600 Sq Km):
Tarangire National Park is an excellent place to view wildlife during any season. Large herds of Zebras, Wildebeests, Hartebeests and Elephants and Lions are easily visible until October, when they move to the lush grasslands of the Northeast. Elands, Lesser Kudus, Gazelles, Giraffes and Waterbucks are seen year round.
The park borders Lake Manyara, thus animals migrate to drink in the Tarangire River during drought. Over 300 bird species have been recorded. Ranger accompanied walking safaris are also possible in the TWCA. Its location makes Tarangire ideal for a day or two trips as well.
